Stop loss and take profit are common risk management tools in futures trading. They help investors set target profit and stop loss levels, protecting their investments and achieving expected returns.
When opening a futures contract on JuCoin, investors can set stop loss and take profit in various ways to manage risk.
Method 1: Set Stop Loss and Take Profit When Placing an Order
Investors can set stop loss and take profit when placing an order by entering the order quantity on the contract order page. Check the 【Take Profit/Stop Loss】 box and set the desired take profit and stop loss prices.
Tips:
JuCoin supports three price triggers: mark price, index price, and last price.
Method 2: Add Stop Loss and Take Profit to Open Positions
If investors have already opened positions, they can find the corresponding contract on the 【Current Positions】 page and click 【Add】 to set stop loss and take profit.
JuCoin Supported Stop Loss and Take Profit Modes
Partial Position: Applies only to a fixed number of positions. When the position size changes, the stop loss and take profit order quantity remains unchanged. This mode allows multiple stop loss and take profit settings.
Full Position: Applies to the entire position. When the position size changes, the stop loss and take profit order quantity changes accordingly. When the price reaches the trigger price, the position will be closed at the market price. This mode allows only one stop loss and take profit setting. If the position size exceeds the maximum market order quantity or the margin is insufficient when triggered, the order will fail.
Note: If the position size exceeds the maximum market order quantity or if the margin is insufficient when triggered, the stop loss and take profit order may fail.
Stop Loss and Take Profit Setting Notes:
Stop loss and take profit will not freeze the position until triggered.
When a market stop loss or take profit is triggered successfully, the trade will be executed at the best available market price. However, the actual execution price may differ from the set price depending on the market situation.
